David Haworth ATT - Tax Manager

David Haworth

E:

David is our Tax Manager and has over 25 years' experience in handling all aspects of personal taxation. Previously, David had been employed with HM Revenue and Customs, therefore is suitably equipped when it comes to advising on personal tax affairs.

Currently, David manages over 300 tax clients, ranging from small sole traders and pensioners up to high net worth individuals with complex taxation affairs.

David is particularly passionate about helping clients with the burden of meeting their tax obligations, giving peace of mind and helping to save tax. A client recently came to David with a £2,000 tax bill and he not only cancelled the bill but claimed reliefs on their behalf and obtained a tax refund in excess of £10,000.

Outside of work, David enjoys going to music festivals, mountain biking (including charity rides), walking in the Chilterns or Lake District and karting. He is a Wycombe Wanderers season ticket holder and also likes to watch superbike racing.

Liza Rowles FCCA, CTA - Client Manager

Liza joined Seymour Taylor in January 2006 as a trainee accountant and in that time has qualified as an Accounting Technician, a Certified Accountant in August 2011 as well as a Chartered Tax Advisor in July 2013, she became a client manager in January 2016.

As one of our Client Managers, Liza works with clients in a wide range of sectors and specialises in large group audits and corporate tax.

Outside of work, Liza is a very keen golfer and hockey player.

Steve Milne MCPS, MCIPP - Payroll Manager

Having joined Seymour Taylor in 1980 as a trainee accountant, Steve soon moved into the developing IT department providing payroll services and purchase and sales ledger processing for a number of clients, together with internal administration duties. The dual roles of IT and Payroll have persisted, so that he now heads the Payroll Services department, and is responsible for maintaining and supporting the IT infrastructure of the firm.

Payroll is a critical part of any business, which must be processed accurately and on time. Steve has extensive experience of providing this service for businesses ranging from 1 to 850 employees, and has been a member of the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals for a number of years.

Out of work Steve follows Formula 1 racing, and enjoys cycling, badminton and orienteering.

Paula King FCCA - Business Services Manager

Paula joined Seymour Taylor following the merger with Colston Bush in July 2013 having been based in Marlow since 2001. As one of our Client Managers, Paula has vast experience in dealing with the accounts and tax affairs for a wide range of mainly owner managed businesses both sole traders and partnerships as well as companies.

Additionally, Paula has been an integral part of the merger process and now manages our growing Business Services department which acts as a 'virtual office'. This team helps clients with the preparation of management accounts, VAT Returns, bookkeeping and adhoc management reports and information, thus freeing up our clients' time to run their businesses in the most efficient way.

Away from the office Paula enjoys cycling, walking, Pilates and going to the theatre.

Judith Kenny FCCA - Client Manager

After working at Colston Bush for 25 years, Judith joined Seymour Taylor as one of our Client Managers when the firms merged in July 2013.

Judith takes pride in taking the time to explain to clients the how, why and what in relation to personal tax compliance obligations.

Amongst her involvement in accountancy and tax preparation for sole traders, partnerships and smaller limited companies, Judith is also involved in Trust and Estate tax returns, Inheritance Tax and Estate planning.

Judith is an avid Strictly Come Dancing fan and very much enjoys her tap dancing classes.

Tim Bingle - Corporate Services Manager

Tim's expertise lies within Company Secretarial services for clients of Seymour Taylor and the wider Hampden Group, particularly clients of the Lloyd's Insurance market.The handling of compliance and statutory matters is imperative and Tim is involved in matters from filing annual returns to complex share issues and amendment or redrafting of Articles of Association.

Tim's role is essential in relieving clients of any concerns about filing any statutory documentation to comply with the Companies Act. The consequences for not filing these documents could result in substantial fines for directors.

Outside of work, Tim is a local football referee. He is a big cricket fan and has been playing for Jordans Taverners all of his adult life. Tim is also an assistant scout leader as well as being their group treasurer.
