We are delighted to announce some changes which have happened in Seymour Taylor earlier this month. After a long period of discussion and careful consideration we have decided that it is in the best interests of the firm, our clients and our staff, to become part of the Hampden Group of Companies.

We have had a long and successful association with the Hampden Group, who specialise in providing services to the insurance sector, with a particular emphasis in the Lloyd’s of London Insurance Market. The Hampden Group have been established for over 30 years, with an excellent reputation and are based just outside High Wycombe. Hampden wish to provide their own clients with an increased range of services, which Seymour Taylor can offer. At the same time the partners and staff here will have increased resources to provide our existing clients with the service they need. We anticipate that our range of services will be enhanced as a result.

To enable this to be achieved, this firm will be incorporated into two limited companies, ST Hampden Limited and Seymour Taylor Audit Limited, but both will continue to practise as Seymour Taylor. The reason for this structure is to comply with the requirements of our Professional Institute.

The partners and staff here see this change as a very positive move for us all and foresee that the only impact on our service level to our clients will be positive.

Seymour Taylor will continue to be operated by the same group of people and there will be no change in the way we run the practice.

Our fee structure will remain at the same levels. Our charging rates will only be reviewed at the same intervals as before, with the emphasis on continuing to give excellent value for money for the service we provide.

Clients will not be “lost” in a larger organisation. We plan that the firm will continue to grow as it has been doing in the past but the nature of our business will not change.

There will be some minor administration, legal and system changes as a result of our incorporation over the next few months, and this will include some changes to our website (watch this space).
