Starting a
business can be a daunting prospect but with the right product or
service and the right approach, the rewards can be considerable.
One of the
first things we'd recommend is that you take a couple of minutes to
read our Quick Guide to Starting in
Business - which includes a basic checklist of things you need
to consider. You may find Record Keeping
and VAT useful as well...
Our
Business Start-Up Service
We can
assist you with many aspects of your new business:
Business Structure
Which is the best structure for you - Sole Trader, Partnership or
Limited Company? We can take you through all the pro's and con's.
Business Finance
Do you need to borrow money? If so, we can help with all the paperwork
lenders like to see, such as cash flow forecasts and business plans.
We can also recommend who to see for the best deal.
Taxation
There's quite a bit involved in making sure the right government
departments are kept properly informed of what you're up to! We can
fill out all the forms for the Inland Revenue, the DSS and Customs &
Excise, and keep you up to date with Tax Returns, VAT Returns etc.
Record Keeping
This is a very important area. If you're not 100% sure what you're
doing we can help you with basic bookkeeping - whether you choose to
do it manually or on computer. If you opt for the PC we'll advise on
which accounts software will suit you best. If you really can't cope
with the idea of keeping records, maybe we can find you a bookkeeper.
PAYE
If you're planning on employing anyone (including yourself if you
decide on a limited company) we can help with PAYE compliance - either
by assisting you in dealing with it or doing it for you via our
payroll bureau.
Other Matters
There are many other areas we can help with; from advising on what you
need to include on your business stationery to putting you in touch
with reputable suppliers.
Fixed Fees
In the early days of a new business it is particularly important to
keep an eye on costs, so we are happy to charge a fixed fee. This is,
of course, based upon how much help you need and how involved you
would like us to be.
Free Consultation
The best way for us to see how we can help you with your new venture
is to meet and talk about it. We offer a free initial consultation to
discuss your requirements with absolutely no obligation whatsoever. To
take advantage of this, please call us on 01494 552100 during office
hours.
