Audit and Accounts Supervisor
The ideal candidate should have completed their ACCA
or ACA qualification and have more than 4 years of general
practice experience. It would be beneficial to have had a good
level of audit exposure although we are happy to provide
training on specialist areas such as charity audits.
The role will include leading a variety of accounts preparation,
audit work and tax assignments as part of our audit and accounts
team, the role is split about 50% audit, 40% accounts and 10%
tax. The ideal candidate will be responsible for controlling
assignments as they proceed to ensure work is completed on a
timely basis within an agreed budget. The role would include
supervision of junior staff, providing them with assistance when
required and reviewing of their work.
Experience of the following computer packages is advantageous
but not essential; Iris; Excel; Word; Sage Line 50; Quick books.
Good verbal and written skills are essential.
There will be opportunity for the successful candidate to
progress within the firm and therefore they should be dedicated
to a career in practice. The position comes with full CPD training
and we are an approved training practice for ACA and ACCA if the
successful candidate wished to continue approved training in
order to gain their practising certificate.

Audit and Accounts Trainee
The ideal candidate should have recently finished their academic
studies at either degree or A-level and be looking for a career
in accountancy. No previous accounting experience is necessary
as full on the job training and relevant training courses are
provided.
The role will include leading a variety of accounts preparation,
audit work and tax assignments as part of our audit and accounts
team, the role is split about 50% audit, 40% accounts and 10%
tax.

We will provide a full training package that includes providing
training courses at Kaplan with paid study leave. We are happy
to support training for either the ACA, ACCA or AAT
qualification and Seymour Taylor are an approved training
practice for both ACA and ACCA.
